Rainforest Adventure Center Expeditions (RACE) offers safe, carefully designed, custom crafted programs for Colleges, Universities and High Schools.  With offices operating year round in both the United States and Costa Rica, we also provide logistics, adventure activities and support to Adventure Travel and Experiential Education Programs.

For 25 years, located deep in the Sevegre River Valley, the Fonseca Family and our Adventure Center has served not only school groups and large travel programs, but private individuals, families and corporate groups too. Our local ties provide our staff with an intimate knowledge of the area ensuring our participants a genuine, remarkable and safe experience.

Our directors have a combined 35 years experience in adventure-based travel, experiential education and eco-tourism.  They have personally guided, directed and planned over 600 expeditions in North, Central and South America, ranging from 8 to 85 days in length.

From trip leading, directing, program planning and logistics, to our amazing Adventure Center and activities, Rainforest Adventure Center Expeditions is certified by the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT). RACE, is your best source for safe, reliable Adventure-Based Programming in Costa Rica.

Our programs support a number of rural communities and families in Costa Rica.  We spend time each year traveling through out Costa Rica’s rural regions, developing relationships, and establishing service projects in the communities which need it most.  Each RACE participant has a positive impact on the communities in which we travel and the opportunity to change lives for the better.
